Tom Hamilton’s American Babies are one of our favorite local bands and we’re excited as all get-out that they’re releasing a new EP called Weight Of The World. It’s just a taste of a full album they’ve got coming and both the EP and full release are coming out on their own Shoots & Boots label on April 13 with a record release throwdown at World Cafe Live on April 10th. Hamilton and his rock ‘n’ roll collective worked with Philly producer Bill Moriarty on this release and Hamilton’s roots rock has not sounded better. You may remember Tom and his band covered “Backstreets” as part of the XPN Springsteen Salute and his performance that night at the concert blew folks away.
