My Morning Download 9/22/11 – The Head and The Heart (playing the Philly F/M Festival BBQ on Sunday)
WXPN is Welcoming two shows to the Philly F/M fest which starts this evening and lasts through Sunday night.
The first of the XPN Welcomes is with Sharon Van Etten, Marissa Nadler and Hezekiah Jones at World Cafe Live on Friday night. Portions of the ticket sales will benefit Weathervane music, our partners in the online new artist video/audio initiative Shaking Through. You can buy tickets to the show here.
On Sunday, WXPN and The Key Welcomes the Philly F/M Festival Sunday BBQ featuring The Head and The Heart along with 14 bands playing at the Ukie Club. Tickets to the all ages event are $15.00 and you can purchase them here. The BBQ will have an indoor and outdoor stage; the show starts at 11AM and go until 10PM. The full lineup includes: Parson Red Heads, Wigwams, Nicos Gun, Reading Rainbow, Viva Voce, Jukebox the Ghost, Thao with the Get Down Stay Down, Brian McGee, Stephen Lyons, Good Old War, Birdie Busch, John Byrne, North Lawrence Midnight Singers, Pine Mouth, Toy Soldiers, Avi Wisnia and The Head and The Heart.
