A few years ago I was called by WXPN and offered two tickets to see Todd Rundgren at the Factory. I, of course, immediately said YES!!! Jeffrey Gaines opened and Todd did a great show…THANKS XPN! After the show, I hung around the stage door hoping to get a chance to meet Todd and share with him my early experiences seeing him as a member of Woody’s Truck Stop when they played a small venue in South Jersey where I was raised. When he came out and greeted the small throng of avid fans we shook hands and he listened as I told my story. When I was done he gave me a big hug and thanked me for being around so long. He then put his tongue in my ear…what an experience! Maybe not a “moment for the ages,” but something I’ll never forget!
