The Pointless Forest

One of my earliest musical memories is rummaging through my father’s stacks of albums. At the age of 4-5, I was attracted to the colorful covers, especially anything with psychedelic patterns and/or animation. And even more excited about those LPs with books and inserts.

So while my father was probably enjoying the political statements and folksy satire throughout Harry Nilsson’s album, ‘The Point’, I was enjoying the amazing story told within the album cover’s booklet insert about a boy and his dog….

“So Oblio and Arrow set off for the Pointless Forest, where all things are pointless and nothing is pointed. By the way, the distance between the Land of Point and the Pointless Forest is directly proportional to the amount of time it takes to sing a song”
