The Opening Concert in NJ’s Meadowlands Stadium

As a teen in north jersey, the construction of the Meadowlands Stadium was a big deal for football fans but even better, one of the celebrations to open the venue to a larger audience (music fans) was to hold a really big concert (5 bands?!) It was my first open-air multi-band concert (I was 18) and I’ll never forget it. It included the Steve Miller Band and the Little River Band. We had ‘field tickets’ and it was crowded, chaos, and wonderful.
