Bruce Springsteen Gets the Hook from Gramma

I was at a Springsteen concert in 1975/76 at the Syria Mosque in Pittsburgh. Bruce was rocking all night and the crowd was electric. Each time he “stopped” the crowd demanded more…and he obliged. It was a great performance. It was a little after 11 when a short, petite, white haired woman came out on stage and was walking towards Bruce. In effect, she was telling him he had to get off the stage. Always the showman he played with the crowd who roared even more. Finally, the 70+ year old woman won and Bruce ended his show. It was a classic ending to a vintage Springsteen concert. I have told this story probably every year since I witnessed it. I still vividly remember it and always will.
