Old Crow Medicine Show - Big Iron World - Nettwerk

For their second album, the Nashville-based OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW mines the same rich earth for inspiration that they so expertly did on their epononymous 2004 debut album. This is a string band with attitude, and their songs may remind you of the past, but their outlook and presentation is most definitely of today.

Singers KETCH SECOR and WILLIE WATSON sound as mournful and/or impassioned as is humanly possible throughout the new album, once again raw-ly produced by DAVID RAWLINGS. "Down Home Girl", "God's Got It", and "Let It Alone" are just three standout tracks on a record with few real flaws. The band gels together throughout, and they play with a familiarity and easiness that only a group of friends can.

If you're tiring of a musical world of samples, overdubs, and voice-tracks, Old Crow Medicine Show just may have the cure to what ails ya.
