Dwight Yoakam The legendary country singer-songwriter and actor continues to fuse multiple genres in his music with 3 Pears, his first album in five years. Released last month, the record is full of surprises, jumping from Motown and soul to light pop and no-frills rock and roll.
Featuring Beck as producer on two tracks and Kid Rock as co-writer of the effortlessly catchy lead cut "Take Hold of My Hand," 3 Pears has been hailed by many as Yoakam's most satisfying work yet. Hear Yoakam perform four tracks live from his new album in this session of World Cafe.
