The Pharmacy

Few groups are as versatile as The Pharmacy, which Scott Yoder and Brendhan Bowers formed in 2002 as a garage-punk band before also embracing dance pop and psychedelic rock. After classically-trained pianist Stefan Rubicz joined the Vashon Island, Washington natives in 2007,
the group has maintained a steady schedule, earning positive reviews from the New Yorker and the Stranger as well as touring all over North America and Europe with Vivian Girls, Matt+Kim, and Japanther.

This episode of World Cafe: Next features tracks from the Pharmacy’s new EP Josephine, released in May on the psych-pop EP Josephines.
