Bap Kennedy Although he hails from Belfast, Northern Ireland, singer-songwriter Martin "Bap" Kennedy incorporates a wide range of genres with American origins into his music, such as blues, rocky, country, and Americana. Former member of the band Energy Orchard, with whom he recorded five albums, Kennedy launched his solo career in 1998 with his debut album, Domestic Blues. Produced by Steve Earle and including vocal contributions by Nanci Griffith, the album was a major critical and commercial success for Kennedy. Since then, Kennedy has released seven albums and two EPS and has collaborated with artists such as Van Morrison and Mark Knopfler. His most recent album, The Sailor's Revenge, came out this past January. Currently, Kennedy is touring the Netherlands to promote the album.
