Trout Fishing In America Trout Fishing In America first came together when Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet did a little show at a grade school after meeting in the adult folk band St. Elmo's Fire. From there they've gone on to a venerable career of children's music, along with a few adult releases. They've won four Grammys and a number of parents' choice awards, and they've kept up their fan bases in the old and young alike. Since 1979, they've release 19 records on Trout Records, and their latest, "Lookin' at Lucky", is an adult-aimed mix of folk influences.

"Lookin' at Lucky" features Grimwood on bass and vocals, with Idlet contributing vocals and quite the line up of instruments, including guitar, uke, banjo, bouzouki, and percussion. The album has quite a blues and bluegrass leaning, and song topics range from love and growing old to disappointment and distractions. Released in October, the album has gotten positive reactions from fans and critics alike. As the LA Times puts it, these guys have made and maintained their reputation as "some of the most lyrically creative, musically sophisticated, vocally muscular music-makers in the family music business."

Trout Fishing In America will be on the World Cafe stage this Friday, playing the Free at Noon. Don't miss it! This will be one great way to start off the weekend.

Trout Fishing in America also performs two family shows on Dec 11th at 11:30am and 2:00pm at Sellersville Theater.
