wonder why Gypsy reigns as one of the greatest Broadway musicals of the
20th century. The big, brassy, funny and unforgettable show-with music by
Jule Styne, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Arthur
Laurents-gloriously returns to the stage in this Phoenix Entertainment
production. Packing a powerful wallop, Gypsy serves up one popular
standard after another like "Everything's Up Coming Up Roses," "You Gotta
Get a Gimmick," and "Let Me Entertain You." Everyone agrees-Broadway

Season Finale of Group Motion Three of Group Motion's favorite choreographer/dancers will be presenting personal works. Kun-Yang Lin will present The Emptiness of Snow, a piece that contemplates the Buddhist concept of "emptiness." Through the complex metaphor of winter, the dancers will explore the relationship of the world that is seen with the world that is unseen.
Olive Prince's preview performance of Old Girl, New is a must see. Old Girl, New is an exploration of the following themes: the text and life of Virginia Woolf, the image of Woolf emerging from the water where she took her own life, dismantling the female form, and integrating the dancer's personal expression about the female experience. Laina Fischbeck will present an excerpt from The Memory of the Mass, a piece that premiered at Spiel Uhr.

25th Annual Demuth Garden Tour Weekend The Demuth Museum will celebrate the silver anniversary of its annual
Garden Tour, which has offered an intimate view of private Lancaster
gardens for the last twenty-five years. At the heart of the tour is the
historic home and garden of the world-renowned Modernist artist, Charles
Demuth (1883-1935). The city of Lancaster inspired the majority of his
art, from his Precisionist architectural works to his masterful watercolors. Among the most celebrated of these are Demuth's floral works - intimate depictions of the rich variety of flowers in his mother Augusta's garden. Following the successful debut of last year's "House and Garden" tour, visitors will again have access to gardens and home interiors of ten exclusive locations in Lancaster and Manor Township.
