Vintage rock-and-roll noisemakers Low Cut Connie ended 2012 with their crazy infectious single "Boozophilia" ranked #31 in Rolling Stone's top 50 songs of 2012. The mag said "You can practically smell the Yuengling coming off this skunky, slippery ode to lowbrow kicks from Philly to the South Side of Chicago." (Cute regional reference there, Rolling Stone, but PBC Kenzinger surpassed Yeungling Lager as the beverage of the common rock and roll Philadelphian some time ago. PBR and Natty Boh probably also rank higher at this point too – but the effort is appreciated!) Beer chatter aside, we're most psyched that Low Cut Connie continues getting recognition at a national level.

Low Cut Connie self-released their second album "Call Me Sylvia" last September. It is full of rowdy, barroom-friendly rock-and-roll, with the double-barreled songwriting strength of guitarist Dan Finnemore, originally of Birmingham, England, and piano-pounding showman Adam Weiner of Cherry Hill. A throwback, with something new up their sleeve.
