The Head & The Heart Free At Noon is SOLD OUT. Watch today's Free At Noon with Head & The Heart! Watch Here
The six members of indie-folk breakouts The Head and The Heart first connected in the open mic scene of Seattle, Washington. Their performances and home-recorded demos generated enough of a following that prominent independent label Sub Pop Records released their self-titled debut album in 2011, as well as their sophomore outing, Let’s Be Still, which just came out on October 15th. The record is filled with moving Americana arrangements, striking vocal harmonies, and lyrics that range from introspective to topical. The band considers the new one the first proper showing of its sound – as frontman Josiah Johnson told Rolling Stone, it’s the first record they made as a unit, and it showcases a refined musicianship and chemistry they gained from over two years touring together. The band is in town for back-to-back sold out shows at Union Transfer this month, but you can catch them next Friday, November 8th, for the Free at Noon concert.
