The Free At Noon at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia is SOLD OUT, as Spoon performs a live midday concert on Monday.

Austin, Texas indie-rock five-piece Spoon is back from a few years of silence with its latest record, They Want My Soul, released earlier this month on Loma Vista records. The band took time off after its 2010 release Transference, at which point singer Britt Daniel told the bloggers at The Line of Best Fit that he was looking for "something that was going to reinvigorate me, to excite me about working on new stuff again.”  It was time well spent: the new album is bustling with urgency and the band sounds energized on singles like “Rent I Pay” and “Do You.” The band is in town on Labor Day Weekend to play the Made In America Festival, but they’ll join us for a special Labor Day Free at Noon at World Cafe Live on Monday, September 1st. Listen to the broadcast on 88.5 FM, watch the webcast at or RSVP to join us at World Cafe Live.
