Bobbie Gentry Tribute

Join us for the Free At Noon at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, as the Bobbie Gentry Tribute perform a live midday concert on Friday.



The Lower 40 is a new all-star collaboration of Philadelphia musicians dedicated to re-creating Bobbie Gentry’s 1967 smash record Ode to Billie Joe in celebration of Tara Murtha’s new book for the critically acclaimed 33 1/3 series. The Lower 40 is Phil D'Agostino (bandleader, bass), Brad Hinton (guitar), Ross Bellenoit (guitar), Matt Muir (drums), Jay Ansill (strings), Larry Toft (horns), Ansel Barnum (harmonica), Carl Bahner (vibraphone). Featuring vocalists Birdie Busch, Kerry Hallett, Allison Polans, Susan Rosetti & Ali Wadsworth. That evening, The Lower 40 will be making their world premier playing Bobbie Gentry’s 1967 smash record Ode to Billie Joe at Underground Arts in Philadelphia. Tickets are available here
