Internships: XPN Local / Middays

(15-20 hours per week)

Duties: Do you love listening to new music? Requires a capacity for critical listening to music submitted for potential radio airplay. Familiarity with a broad range of music . Knowledge of local artists or willingness to be proactive about learning the local music is important. Interns should have the availability to go see live performances and bring information about them to the XPN Local . Strong writing skills. Some knowledge of computer audio editing systems (SAW, DAW, ProTools, Cool Edit) is desired. Responsible for entering all incoming CDs into the Excel spreadsheet, coding music, filing incoming CDs, and previewing incoming CDs.

Availability between 10am and 3pm weekdays strongly preferred.

Special Qualifications: Since a fair amount of training is involved, looking for candidates who can make a commitment of at least two school years.
