World Cafe Travel Adventure to New Orleans Contest Rules

Win a Trip for Two to New Orleans, one of the most musically rich cities in the world. Join the David Dye and the World Cafe crew, and a group of like-minded, music loving XPN fans. You'll stay at the Maison Dupuy, recently chosen as one of the top 172 hotels in the entire nation, "a charming, distinctively New Orleans hotel." Situated just off the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street, the Maison Dupuy is located in the heart of the residential section of the French Quarter. Trip dates: January 22 - 27, 2012. Grand Prize includes: Roundtrip airfare or two, ground transportation, hotel accomodations at the Maison Dupuy, breakfast all days, one brunch and two dinners, music activities and tours associated with Collette Vacations Group Tour Package.
Each valid entry will be eligible for a random drawing to win the grand prize.

1. How to Enter the Contest
a. You can submit your entry starting at 12:01am on Thursday, September 15, 2011. All entries must be received by WXPN no later than 11:59pm Friday, September 23, 2011. All times are Eastern Time.
b. To participate in the contest, use any one of the following
methods, but all entries must include your first and last name, address, phone no., email address, and all other requested information on the Contest page:
- Become a Member of WXPN, or make a membership contribution to WXPN, or
- Complete and submit the contest form online
- Provide all of the necessary information (name, address,
valid email address, phone no.) where we can reach you during the day on a plain sheet of paper, and fax your entry to WXPN, fax no. 215-573-2152, World Cafe Travel Adventure to New Orleans, Attn: Online Dept.
c. WXPN is not responsible for a submission that is lost,
undelivered or misdirected, or for entries not received
due to difficulty accessing the Internet, service outages
or delays, computer difficulties or other technological
glitches.
d. From all entries, one grand prize winners and five alternates will
be chosen at random on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, and announced on the air on Friday, September 30, 2011.
2. Eligibility Restrictions
You must be 21 years old or older to enter the contest. Winners will be required to provide proof of age. Employees
of WXPN, its contest sponsors, volunteer
staff members managing the contest, and the members
of their households are ineligible to participate
in the contest or win. Only one entry per person is permitted.
3. The Prize
a. The Prize will include a trip for two to New Orleans from January 22 - 27, 2012, including roundtrip airfare, ground transportation, hotel accomodations at the Maison Dupuy, breakfast all days, one brunch and two dinners, music activities and tours associated with Collette Vacations Group Tour Package.
b. The estimated retail value of the Grand Prize is $4,598.00.
c. All costs and expenses not specifically listed in the above prize description are the responsibility of the winner, including but not limited to transportation, accommodations, meals and souvenirs.
No cash or other substitution, assignment or transfer of any prize permitted, except by Sponsor.
d. The Station reserves the right to make changes to the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any prize-related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or canceled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.
e. Winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes. Winner is responsible for all fees and expenses associated with the acceptance,
use and/or misuse of the prize not expressly included in the prize description. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
f. The prize may be picked up at
the Marketing/Promotions
Department office of WXPN, 3025 Walnut Street, Philadelphia,
PA during business hours. The prize may also be shipped
by WXPN upon the winner's provision of certification of eligibility and an executed prize receipt and publicity
release.
4. Selection of Winner
a. Decisions of station management with respect to the contest
are final.
b. One entry and five alternates will be selected
at random on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, from all entries received
by the deadline, and the first selected eligible contestant will be announced as the Grand Prize winner on Friday, September 30, 2011.
c. Winner need not listen or be present to win. WXPN will
contact the winner. If the winner does not
claim the prize within 48 hours of notification, that contestant will forfeit
the prize and an alternate winner will be selected and notified in order from the alternate entries drawn.
5. Conditions
a. Payment of all federal, state and local taxes is the
sole responsibility of the winner.
b. By participating in the contest, the winner agrees to
have his or her name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising
or broadcasting material relating to this contest without
additional financial or other compensation, and to sign
a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize. The
winner must also sign a prize receipt and certify compliance
with all eligibility requirements prior to release of the
prize.
c. WXPN, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify
any person for tampering with the entry process or with
the operation of the WXPN Web Site or who is otherwise in
violation of the rules.
d. Additional travel costs and other expenses associated with the fulfillment of the prize are the responsibility of the prize winner and not the responsibility of WXPN or Collette Vacations Group Tours.
6. Right to Make Changes
WXPN reserves the right
to make changes in the rules of the contest. There is no substitution, transfer, assignment, or cash equivalent for prizes.
7. No Purchase Required
No purchase or donation is necessary.
8. Responsibilities
WXPN is not responsible for typographical or other errors
in the printing, the offering or the administration of the
contest or in the announcement of a prize, or cancellation of the performance.
9. Copies of the Contest Rules
Copies of the written contest rules will be available up
to 30 days after the end of the contest at xpn.org.
