The Visit Ithaca DOT COM Contest Rules

You could win a trip to Ithaca, New York AND Tickets to see Los Lobos with James Hunter!
Ithaca is nestled in the hills at the southern end of Cayuga Lake, in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes region of central New York State. You'll stay at the beautiful Hilton Garden Inn (March 4 and 5), have dinner at the Moosewood Restaurant, known for their internationally acclaimed cookbooks and healthful natural foods cuisine, and see Los Lobos with James Hunter live in concert on March 5 at the Historic State Theatre.

Each valid entry will be eligible for a random drawing to win the Visit Ithaca DOT COM Contest.

1. How to Enter the Contest:

a. You can submit your entry starting at 6am on Wednesday February 6, 2008. All entries must be received by XPN no later than 11:59pm on Tuesday February 12, 2008. All times are Eastern Time.

b. To participate in the contest, use any one of the following methods, but all entries must include your first and last name, address, and all other requested information on the Contest page:

• Become a Member of WXPN, or make a membership contribution to WXPN,
• Complete and submit the VisitIthaca.COM Contest form online, or
• Provide all of the necessary information (name, address, phone no. where we can reach you during the day, email address, and any other requested information) on a plain sheet of paper, together with the following, and fax your entry to WXPN.

c. XPN is not responsible for a submission that is lost, undelivered or misdirected, or for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the Internet, service outages or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches.

d. From all entries, one entry and five alternates will be chosen at random on Friday February 15, 2008, and the first selected eligible contestant will be announced as the Grand Prize winner on the air on February 15, 2008. The Grand Prize winner will be notified by phone and email.

2. Eligibility Restrictions
The contest is open to adults (18 years or older). Employees of WXPN, its contest sponsors, volunteer staff members managing the contest, and the members of their households are ineligible to participate in the contest or win. One entry per person.

3. The Prize:
a. The prize includes two tickets to see Los Lobos w/ James Hunter in concert at the Historic State Theatre in Ithaca on Wednesday March 5, 2008 at 7:30pm, two nights accomodation at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Ithaca (check-in Tuesday March 4, 2008, check-out Thursday March 6, 2008), and dinner for two at the Moosewood Restaurant.

The Prize has a total estimated retail value of $517.00.

c. The prize may be picked up at the Marketing/Promotions Department office of WXPN, 3025 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA during business hours. The prize may also be shipped by WXPN upon the winner's provision of certification of eligibility and an executed prize receipt and publicity release.

4. Selection of Winner:
a. Decisions of station management with respect to the contest are final.

b. A single entry and five alternates will be selected at random on Friday February 15, 2008, from all entries received by the deadline , and the first selected eligible contestant will be announced as the Grand Prize winner on air on Friday February 15, 2008.

c. Winner need not listen or be present to win. XPN will contact the winner. If the grand prize winner does not claim the prize within three business days after the winner is notified, that contestant will forfeit the prize and an alternate winner will be selected in order from the alternate entries drawn.

5. Conditions:
a. Payment of all federal, state and local taxes is the sole responsibility of the winner.

b. By participating in the contest, the winner agrees to have his or her name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and to sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize. The winner must also sign a prize receipt and certify compliance with all eligibility requirements prior to release of the prize.

c. WXPN, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person for tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the WXPN Web Site or who is otherwise in violation of the rules.

6. Right to Make Changes
WXPN reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, which will become effective upon announcement.

7. No Purchase Required
No purchase or donation is necessary.

8. Responsibilities
WXPN is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of a prize.

9. Copies of the Contest Rules
Copies of the written contest rules will be available up to 30 days after the end of the contest at www.xpn.org. You may also receive the rules by mail by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Ithaca.dom Contest, Online Dept., 3025 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19104.
