Little Hurricane will head up a double-header outdoor Free at Noon on Friday, September 12th, at the Porch at 30th Street Station. The San Diego blues-rock duo this year formed in 2010 and quickly developed a reputation for its tremendous live energy, something that’s taken it to the stages of Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits. This year the band released its second album of original material, Gold Fever, though it also released a collection of cover songs in 2013 called Stay Classy, where it tackled popular favorites from Bill Withers to Elbow. Tune in to Free at Noon on your radio at 88.5 FM or RSVP to join us in person at The Porch at 30th Street on September 12th.
Joining the band is Philadelphia’s New Sound Brass, who you may remember as the marching band that led the XPoNential Music Festival audience from Wiggins Park to the Susquehanna Bank Center this summer. The band also performed at 2nd Street Festival this year, opened for PhillyBloco at World Cafe Live, and generally has become renowned for its lively and crowd participatory arrangements of popular songs reimagined in the brass band tradition. Tune in to Free at Noon on your radio at 88.5 FM or RSVP to join us in person at The Porch at 30th Street on September 5th.
