The all-stars of David Uosikkinen's In the Pocket bring their Essential Songs of Philadelphia project to World Cafe Live this week for Free at Noon. Founded by Hooters drummer David Uosikkinen in 2010, the rotating-cast band – which features members of The A’s, Jim Boggia and more - brings together longtime longtime local players to celebrate Philly music.

The songs in their repertoire are written by Philadelphians and recorded in Philadelphia, ranging from Todd Rundgren’s "I Saw the Light" to The Trampps’ "Disco Inferno." Their new CD, Sessions, is out now and the band plays Havana in New Hope on May 17th. Join them for a live Free at Noon set from World Cafe Live on Friday May 9th.
