Join us for Free At Noon as Joe Henry with special guests Apache Relay perform a live midday concert on Friday.
Singer/songwriter Joe Henry has been playing music professionally since the 80s, and with 12 studio albums under his belt, it doesn't look like there's any stopping him soon. In addition to a prolific output, Henry has the ability to switch up his sound. Each of his 12 albums strays slightly from his last, progressing from classic Americana, to jazz and then pop influences. In addition, the artist spends his time producing albums from Hugh Laurie's latest, Didn't it Rain, to folk band Over the Rhine's Meet Me at the Edge of the World. On Thursday, he play at World Cafe Live; on Friday, check him out at Free at Noon.

The Apache Relay started out of a college dorm room. Frontman Michael Ford Jr., a former music business major at Belmont University, dropped out to pursue his songwriting which later developed into a full fledged Americana/roots band. Since then Apache Relay has released three foot-stomping, folk-inspired full length albums including American Nomad in 2011 and their latest self-titled released just this year. After they play Friday's Free at Noon, head over to North Star Bar to catch them performing with The Weeks. For tickets go here
