Bloodshot Records
Nan Warshaw and Rob Miller never intended to start a record company. They were just music fans who liked hanging out at Chicago's underground nightclubs. They decided to put together a compilation CD of some of the bands they enjoyed; bands that shared a roots sound and a rebellious musical spirit. Eventually Bloodshot Records was born. The label has been home to artists XPN listeners will recognize, like Alejandro Escovedo, Neko Case, and Ryan Adams. In 2009, Rob Miller and Nan Warshaw celebrated the 15 anniversary of Bloodshot. They never thought they'd be around this long. Tracey Tanenbaum reports on why Warshaw and Miller are no longer having fun running a record company.

He's got a new album called The Good Life.
