PHILADELPHIA, PA - WXPN (88.5 FM), the noncommercial public radio station from the University of Pennsylvania, announced the line up for its 2005 "WXPN - All About The Music - Festival" presented by Subaru at Camden County's Wiggins Park, located on the Camden Waterfront. Bigger than ever, this year's festival will showcase more than 27 performers on three stages on July 22, 23, and 24. Tickets start at just $5/day for WXPN Members.

The weekend features performances from longtime XPN faves Patti Smith, Indigo Girls, Rodney Crowell, and Erin McKeown. WXPN will also present newcomers Billy Miles, Son Volt, and Danielia Cotton. XPN Philly Local artists Jim Boggia and Townhall will also perform on the main stage.

New this year is the WXPN Local Stage that will showcase performances by Birdie Busch, Matt Duke, John Francis, Kate Gaffney Band, Melody Gardot, Devin Greenwood, Kufie, Caryn Lin, Mutlu, Trisha O'Keefe, Julia Othmer, Phil Roy, Scott Sax, and other XPN Philly Local artists. Special live performances by local area performing arts groups will also be presented on this stage throughout the weekend.

This year's festival also includes an expanded Kids Corner Area - the four acre Camden Children's Garden that is adjacent to Wiggins Park. The Kids Corner Area will offer family-friendly exhibits, amusement rides, themed gardens, and a spectacular interactive nature show by Jane Kirkland. The Kids Corner Stage will present family music by Ernie & Neal, Steve Pullara and The Cool Beans Band, Cats Pajama, and more. Admission to the Kids Corner Area is free to all festival ticket holders. The Kids Corner Area will be open noon to 5pm Saturday and Sunday only.

Gates open at 5:30pm on Friday, July 22 and at noon on Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets go on sale June 8. Ticket prices for Friday night are $5 for XPN Members (advance or at the gate) and $10 for non-members. Saturday and Sunday tickets are $5 advance and $10 at the gate for XPN Members and non-members pay $10 in advance and $15 at the gate. Children 2-12 are $5 at all times. Tickets will be available for purchase online at xpn.org.

Camden County's Wiggins Park is located on the Camden Waterfront, between the new Adventure Aquarium and the Battleship New Jersey. The Park also features a 50-slip marina, and a promenade along the Delaware River with breathtaking views of the river and Philadelphia skyline.
