Tickets for the 2012 XPN Music Film Festival Now on Sale

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. April 9, 2012 WXPN, the nationally-recognized leader in Triple A (Adult Album Alternative) music and noncommercial radio service of the University of Pennsylvania, and the Philadelphia Film Society today announced that tickets are on sale for the XPN Music Film Festival. The festival,produced by the Philadelphia Film Society, will run from Thursday, April 26 to Sunday, April 29 and features 25 screenings of films all about music. The films and festival schedule can be found online.

Tickets are available online here. Four-day passes are $100 for WXPN and Philadelphia Film Society members and students with ID and $125 for non-members. Individual films are $8 for WXPN and Philadelphia Film Society members and students with ID and $12 for non-members. Additional tickets will be available at the Annenberg Center box office (3680 Walnut Street) from April 9 through April 29. Tickets for Rocky Horror Picture Show will also be sold online here and will be available at the Theater of Living Arts (TLA) box office (334 South Street) from April 9 through April 28.

SPECIAL APPEARANCES & EVENTS

Girl Walk // All Day
General Information: GIRL WALK // ALL DAY is a feature-length dance music video and tale of urban exploration that follows three dancers across New York City. The screening of this film is sponsored by Philebrity.com and will take place at World Cafe Live upstairs on Friday, April 27 at 9 p.m. Attendees should bring their dancing shoes because a dance party will accompany the film!

Daylight Savings
Actor Goh Nakamura will provide a short performance following the film screening of Daylight Savings on Saturday, April 28 at 3:10 p.m. at the Annenberg Center’s Harold Price Theater.

I Am Not A Hipster
Film director Destin Daniel Cretton and actor Adam Shapiro will be on-hand for a Q&A session following both screenings of I Am Not A Hipster on Saturday, April 28 at 7:15 p.m. at the Annenberg Center’s Harold Prince Theater and Sunday, April 29 at 1 p.m. at the Annenberg Center’s Montgomery Theater. Actress Lauren Coleman will provide a musical performance after each screening as well.

Of All Things
Film director Jodi Lambert and subject Dennis Lambert will be available for a Q&A session following both screenings for Of All Things on Saturday, April 28 at 1 p.m. at the Annenberg Center’s Harold Prince Theater and Sunday, April 29 at 3:20 p.m. at the Annenberg Center’s Montgomery Theater.

Of Love, Death and Beyond: Exploring Mahler’s ‘Resurrection Symphony’
Film director Jason Starr will be available for a Q&A session following the film screening of Of Love, Death and Beyond: Exploring Mahler’s ‘Resurrection Symphony’ on Sunday, April 29 at 5:15 p.m. at the Annenberg Center’s Harold Prince Theater.

Rocky Horror Picture Show
Theater troupe Transylvanian Nipple Productions will perform a live, interactive shadow cast throughout the film screeningon Saturday, April 28 at midnight at the Theater of Living Arts (TLA).

Wrecking Crew
Film director Danny Tedesco will be on-hand for a Q&A session following both screenings of Wrecking Crew on Saturday, April 28 at 5 p.m. at the Annenberg’s Montgomery Theater and Sunday, April 29 at 12:50 p.m. at the Annenberg Center’s Harold Prince Theater. This film is sponsored by Ohh La La Records.
