John Hiatt- Master of Disaster - New West

John Hiatt is a consummate singer-songwriter who has long been a core artist on XPN. On Master Of Disaster Hiatt teams with legendary Memphis producer Jim Dickinson and his sons Luther and Cody of the North Mississippi All Stars and bassist David Hood who for years played with the Muscle Shoals studio collective.

Recorded at Ardent Studios in Memphis, Disaster is a masterful teaming and a roots and groove inspired collaboration. As usual, there's a handful of classic Hiatt rockers, but his soulful ballads - including "When My Love Crosses Over," "Cold River" are the highlights of yet another solid release from Hiatt.
