Fleet Foxes: WXPN's August 2008 Artist to Watch

XPN Artist To Watch Fleet Foxes

The five-piece, Seattle-based band, Fleet Foxes, play baroque harmonic pop jams, and take great pleasure in obscuring their genre. Derived from folk and pop influences, these guys love to have fun while expressing themselves through their music.

With music as their passion, and minimum wage jobs as their source of income, Fleet Foxes finally put together enough money to produce their first demo in 2006 and released their first EP, Sun Giant, earlier this year. Their sound reflects the influence of gospel, folk, baroque, and psychedelic 60s pop. They've just released their first full-length, self-titled album.
