Kelly Hogan

Kelly Hogan photo credit Neko case Down to earth and very talented, Kelly Hogan is in demand and on the road most of the time. Opening - and singing backup vocals- for Neko Case - Hogan has not had much time to record solo. Her recent release, I Like to Keep Myself In Pain, was her first in ten years (June, 2012 on ANTI Records).
With song contributions from Neko Case, Andrew Bird, Robyn Hitchcock and many others, the album had a dream team of backing musicians, including R&B legends Booker T and James Gadson, Gabe Roth of the Dap-Kings and Scott Ligon of NRBQ. The album showcases her incredible voice and mix of music - mining the perfect intersection between classic pop, country and soul. In this World Cafe session, Kelly performs live, including the song, "Golden," that Kelly wrote for and about Neko Case.
