Aaron Neville hand-picked his favorite tracks from the doo-wop era for his recent release, My True Story, then revitalized them by adding his soulful and expressive voice and giving the classics a blues and soul vibe.

Working with producer Keith Richards, Neville’s return to the music scene - at age 72 - is destined for success. An inductee of the Delta Music Museum Hall of Fame, Neville has embarked on a national tour to promote his new album. Clearly, an artist who possesses an iconic and evocative voice, Neville is on the verge of celebrating his 50th year in the music recording world. My True Story, is packed with memorable tracks and moments of collaboration. When the project started, Neville's band planned to only record 12 songs, but they ended up recording 23. "Goonight My Love" and "Ruby Baby" are two of Aaron's strongest moments, but it may be too soon to gauge his best doo-wop, as he and his band are chomping at the bit to do another doo-wop album.
