Laura Veirs Rich Musical Weave On New Album Warp & Weft

November 12, 2013 - Laura Veirs has been one of our favorite singer songwriters since her trio of albums on Nonesuch starting with Carbon Glacier in 2004.
Don't miss this week's Free At Noon Doubleheader with singer-songwriter Laura Veirs and rapper, singer, and spoken word artist Dessa.

Laura Veirs is a singer-songwriter raised in Colorado, now living with her husband and two boys in Portland, Oregon. Her first album was self titled and released in 1999 featuring just her and a guitar. Her ninth and latest album Warp and Weft was produced by her husband Tucker Martine, who also joins in playing a variety of instruments. It was recorded in a basement studio and features guests such as Neko Case, and some members of The Decemberists. The album made it's debut at number 10 on the US Folk Albums charts.
