The Free At Noon at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia is SOLD OUT, as The Lone Bellow performs a live midday concert on Friday.
Brooklyn-based trio The Lone Bellow released their sophomore album, Then Came the Morning, this week, and they join us next Friday for a live Free at Noon concert. Produced by The National's Aaron Dessner, the album showcases their critically-acclaimed bluesy Americana sound. It's wrapped up in hometown melancholy, captured best on tracks like "Diners" and "To the Woods." Lead singer/songwriter Zach Williams' vocals on "Marietta" are haunting yet catchy, a hybrid that proves The Lone Bellow's second album is even more emblematic than the first. The group is no stranger to Philly, having rocked a main stage slot at the 53rd annual Philadelphia Folk Festival in August and an appearance at NonCOMM in 2013. The band headlines Underground Arts on March 24th, but you can catch them live this Friday by RSVPing to the show or tuning in at 88.5 FM or XPN.org.
