Join us for the Free At Noon at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, as Amy Helm performs a live midday concert on Friday.

Though Amy Helm has spent much of her life playing in bands, from her time in New York folk group Ollabelle to performing along side her father in the Levon Helm Band, this year saw the release of her debut solo outing. The personal, intimate songs on Helm's rootsy 'Didn't It Rain' feature appearances by members of Little Feat, Marco Benevento, John Medeski, as well as the final drum recordings of Levon.

"Didn't It Rain" has been praised by NPR and Rolling Stone, with the former premiering Helm's first single from the LP, "Rescue Me."

Amy Helm and her Handsome Strangers band will open for Anders Osborne in February at the Ardmore Music Hall; get a preview with this week's Free at Noon by signing up here.

Vintage Cafe: Levon Helm Of The Band in 2008 Plus Midnight Ramble Performances

October 14, 2013 - One of the more poignant performances in our Vintage Cafe series.

Electric Dirt, the new release from Levon Helm, comes just two years after his Grammy-award winning album Dirt Farmer. And, in an attempt to recapture that magic, Levon again enlists producer Larry Campbell and essentially the same group of players from the Dirt Farmer sessions.
