A most hearty congratulations on your 20th anniversary. I've been tuned in the entire time and listen each morning on my way to work. I wanted to share a small piece of information about something you said on-air a few weeks back. During the last fundraising campaign, you mentioned not liking the commment, "killing two birds with one stone." Well, as a true animal lover myself, I had a friend alter that statement to, "feeding two birds with one crumb." I think this conjures up a much more humane image! Michaela, too many moments, over the 13 years that I've listened to the Morning Show, to choose just one - but I love this memory. Election day morning, November 4, 2008. Voter turnout was expected to be heavy, so you noted that people should get out early to vote. Then you added, "And what will you will wearing as you stand in line? Why, 'Boots of Chinese Plastic', of course!" Bam, the Pretenders took off like rockets with that fun, high-powered song. What made that moment so fun, and memorable, was that the mood of the nation was positive, upbeat, and hopeful (I still am!), and your picturesque quip boosted that good feeling even more. Perfect!
