Sandy Fernandez from Princeton Hi, Michaela:
A most hearty congratulations on your 20th anniversary. I've been tuned in the entire time and listen each morning on my way to work. I wanted to share a small piece of information about something you said on-air a few weeks back. During the last fundraising campaign, you mentioned not liking the commment, "killing two birds with one stone." Well, as a true animal lover myself, I had a friend alter that statement to, "feeding two birds with one crumb." I think this conjures up a much more humane image! I'm always tuned in between 8:30 and 9:00 each morning on my way to work and look forward to hearing your voice for at least another 20 years! All best, Sandy Fernandez
| Philly-Mom from Philadelphia Happy Belated Birthday! You Rock. Completely. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your Awesomeness.

Robert Nease from Harrisburg, PA Micheala...it was nice to meet you in Lancaster at the Cafe on Prince St. I mentioned the hbg Men's Chorus and our combined concert with New Jersey gay men's Chorus on April 10th at 8pm. |
John Durkin from ardmore Michaela, I've listened to most of your twenty years on XPN, since moving to Philly in 1991. I found Philly a hard place to know. Your voice on the radio was the first thing that let me know there's a place for me here. So many things about you reach me: your spontaneity, your enthusiasm for all the arts, your curiosity, your sense of humor, and your delightful laugh! Thank you for starting so many mornings for me.
| Gail in Orlando from Maitland Way to Go !!!! Listening for years in Philly area and now is music-barren Orlando market. Thank God for the Internet...many more years, laughs and intelligence on radio. Gail

When I moved to the Philly area almost 20 years ago, you were my first radio experience... you introduced me to Happy Rhodes... and so much more... thanks and many more happy years (no pun intended, that just happened!).
Love,
MIKE

ssherman from millersville i have only been listening to XPN for about a month now. I misread the 20 year bit as being her birthday, and I'm thinking "Geez, she has a great voice/personality for radio, and she's only 20 yeras old!! Oops. Anyway, congratulations Micaela and keep
| Leslie MacPherson from Pottstown Michaela, too many moments, over the 13 years that I've listened to the Morning Show, to choose just one - but I love this memory. Election day morning, November 4, 2008. Voter turnout was expected to be heavy, so you noted that people should get out early to vote. Then you added, "And what will you will wearing as you stand in line? Why, 'Boots of Chinese Plastic', of course!" Bam, the Pretenders took off like rockets with that fun, high-powered song. What made that moment so fun, and memorable, was that the mood of the nation was positive, upbeat, and hopeful (I still am!), and your picturesque quip boosted that good feeling even more. Perfect!
|

My Husband and I just saw John Prine. It was XPN who gave the free concert at Penns Landing that introduced me to John Prine. Thanks for the morning show. You keep us all going. When I am having a bad start you always manage to say the right thing, laugh at something, or just play one of my favorite songs. Enjoy the next 20!

| Donna Raskin from Pennington, NJ Hi Michaela, In 1995, when I was 32, I moved to Tabernacle, NJ from San Francisco to my parents' house because I had had a bad break-up and was severely depressed. I found you on the radio, and Michaela, honestly, it really helped to hear your voice every morning. You read one of my book recommendations (J. California Cooper) and it made my day. I went on to become healthy and happy, but I never forgot how much you helped me...and you never knew. So, thank you. Really. From the bottom of my heart.
