Philadelphia native and harpist/singer-songwriter, Gillian Grassie is classically trained on the harp and vocals. While on stage, Grassie deftly blends a diverse influence of issues into a jazz focused indie/pop sound. Grassie has worked with multiple artists like John Legend and Jim Boggia. Graduating this year from Bryn Mawr College, this 22 year old released her first album in 2007 entitled Serpentine. Gillian is also the recipient of the Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, a one-year grant awarded to talented college seniors to travel outside of the U.S. The Fellowship will take Grassie to India, Germany, France, Japan, and China to name a few countries.
