Started in 2002 by former Strangefolk frontman Reid Genauer, jam folk rock band Assembly of Dust recorded their latest album, Some Assembly Required, across two years and with an all star cast of guest collaborators. The album's thirteen tracks feature such greats as Richie Havens, Bela Fleck, Grace Potter, Phish's Mike Gordon and Martin Sexton, and reflect the maturation of Genauer's songwriting and the band's expanding yet sharply focused musical palette. Garnering comparisons to The Band, Neil Young, and Wilco, Assembly of Dust have established themselves as a fan favorite, and rightfully so.
