Cowboy Junkies

Dubbing themselves the Cowboy Junkies simply because the name had a ring to it, guitarist/songwriter Michael Timmins, bassist Alan Anton, drummer Peter Timmins, and vocalist Margo Timmins broke onto the national music scene with their blues-inspired debut album, Whites Off Earth Now!! Since then, the band has recorded a total of 20 albums, with their newest, Renmin Park, hitting streets in May. The Cowboy Junkies' original sound was rooted in traditional country, blues, and folk, but today they are best known as a critically-acclaimed pop, folk, and roots music band that has also gained the attention and praise of the alternative rock community.
