Raised in a house full of musicians, taking lessons as a teen from Red Hot Chili Peppers' guitarist John Frusciante, and dropping out of high school at seventeen to record his debut album, Robert Francis has dedicated his life to music. The lush, heart-ache fueled Americana found on his first album, One By One, established Francis as a young folk prodigy, earning him a Shortlist Music Prize nomination in 2007 and a contract with Atlantic Records. His first release for the label, Before Nightfall, put out last August, features the same poignant and moving songwriting of Francis's debut but grown into a greater maturity and confidence as well as a great, full-band sound. Robert is currently touring, in support of OK Go, making stops this month in Dallas and Austin. Robert Francis returns to Paris in June, headlining Le Trabendo Club on June 23.
