Givers

June's XPN Artist to Watch, Givers, are a charismatic and energetic pop outfit hailing from Louisiana. This five-piece got their start just a couple of years ago, and they've already been on tour with Dirty Projectors, named one of TIME's "Ten Acts That Rocked SXSW," and chosen by Stereogum as a "Band to Watch" in 2010. Their blend of rock, pop, funk, and soul has helped propel them to greater heights, and with the release of their debut, In Light, they're poised to climb even higher. Describing their style on In Light as a combination of afro-beat, folk rock, and Italian pop, Givers released the album just this month. They bring a whole lot of talent and energy to their live performances, and are a band not to miss at this summer's XPoNential Music Festival.
