Keb Mo is a master at blending blues, jazz, R&B and soul through melody and rhythm. Born in South Los Angeles, Keb' Mo' quickly developed an affinity for blues and gospel music. He began his music career playing a variety of blues in backup bands throughout the 1970s and 80s. When he was only twenty, he began recording with Papa John Creach, the violinist of Jefferson Airplane. He released his debut self-titled album in 1994. Shortly after, he released his sophomore album Just Like You and his third album Slow Down in 1996 and 1998, respectively. Three more studio albums and several live albums were released in the following years. Keb' Mo' has earned three Grammy Awards and is slated to release his first new album since 2006 this coming August entitled The Reflection. His influences are pop, jazz, rock, and folk. His style and talent are unrivaled and should be on the radar for any American blues lover.
