Hailing from Syracuse, this group got its start playing around campus at Syracuse University. The band started to gain recognition for their lively shows and energetic music, and in less than six months of formation had made an appearance at the CMJ Music Marathon. After favorable reviews on SPIN.com, two appearances on SXSW and tours through the UK and America, one in conjunction with Tokyo Police Club, Ra Ra Riot has been gaining in popularity ever since. Their August 2010 release, The Orchard, showcases the band’s unique instrumental makeup of
