If you have listened to The Hold Steady since their 2004 debut Almost Killed Me, you've likely heard the news: The Hold Steady are working on a new album. Will this album sound like front man Craig Finn's 2011 solo album Clear Heart Full Eyes? Will it channel The Band in the spirit that first brought the Brooklyn-based group together? A lot is up in the air, but there's a good chance that you'll get some answers when they play at this summer's XPoNential Music Festival. They've already played a couple of new songs in Texas, and word on the street is that The Hold Steady is as steady a source of narrative, riff-heavy rock as ever.
