Dave Silver founded REC Philly and helped WXPN launch Black Music City with WRTI. With REC Philly closed, Silver is embarking on new ventures, but his love for Philly music remains strong, and thus he has ears we trust.
A dazzling and dizzying visual show, a bevy of 2000s hits, and supporting act Thundercat’s guest appearance were among highlights from the beloved indie rockers’ sold-out concert at Highmark Mann late last week.
Baltimore’s The 8×10 was set to shutter permanently at the end of June. But Philly’s Rising Sun Presents stepped in to keep the beloved venue alive with some new upgrades and a wider range of artists coming for gigs.
