PHILADELPHIA, Pa. June 22, 2004 - Music lovers come in all sizes and for the smallest fans, the Independence Blue Cross WXPN Singer Songwriter Weekend offers the Kids Corner area.

Philadelphia, PA (June 10, 2004) WXPN, the public radio station of the University of Pennsylvania, today announced that mid-day host Helen Leicht will head the station’s Emerging Artist and new community outreach programs.

With her new responsibilities, Leicht will expand her longstanding involvement with and the station’s commitment to showcasing up and coming new talent. Leicht’s Philly Local spotlight feature has been airing since 1990.

More than 3,000 listeners pledge to help build the new home of WXPN.

Philadelphia, PA WXPN, the nationally-acclaimed public radio station of the University of Pennsylvania, today announced that it raised more than one million dollars during the public phase of "The Campaign for WXPN." The station went on the air with its appeal to listeners on March 26 as a lead-in to its on-air fund drive held April 15-20.

The station will kick-off its on-air capital campaign on April 15. Each member's pledge will be matched by local contributions.

Philadelphia, PA On April 15, WXPN, the nationally-acclaimed public radio station of the University of Pennsylvania, will kick-off its on-air fund drive for "The Campaign for WXPN," raising money for its new headquarters which will be located in the same building as the new World Cafe Live entertainment facility at 3025 Walnut Street in Philadelphia.

The new venue, World Cafe Live, will include a live music café and a 350-person music hall, both with full food and beverage service. The building will also be the new home for the station.

Philadelphia, PA WXPN, the nationally-acclaimed public radio station of the University of Pennsylvania, and Real Entertainment Group, founded by local entrepreneur Hal Real, previewed the home of what many believe will be Philadelphia's most innovative music performance venue-World Cafe Live-and the radio station's new broadcast facilities and offices. The opening is scheduled for October 2004.

The public radio station will air original programming asking the question,
"Whose Democracy Is It?"

WXPN Picks Up Awards in the Categories of Non-Commercial Triple A
Station of the Year and Program Director of the Year

Philadelphia, PA 88.5 WXPN, the member-supported radio station of the University of Pennsylvania, has once again won accolades from industry peers. At a music industry awards ceremony hosted by the radio trade publication Radio & Records, WXPN won Non-Commercial Triple A Station of the Year, while station program director, Bruce Warren, took home the award for Program Director of the Year, the only non-commercial radio programmer nominated in this category.
