Life Insurance Policies

Naming WXPN as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy is one of the easiest ways to make music your legacy. Beneficiaries are the individuals and organizations that are most important to you, like WXPN, your home for music discovery. Many policies allow for multiple beneficiaries, so you can easily donate the entirety or a portion of the policy to WXPN. Contact your life insurance provider to designate WXPN as a beneficiary today! Plus, many providers allow you to make these changes online at any time.

Charitable Bequests: Wills and Trusts

A bequest to WXPN in your will is one of the most common ways to realize your music legacy. Beneficiaries (the heirs of the bequest) are the individuals and organizations that are important to you, like WXPN, your home for music discovery. Whether you wish to donate your entire estate, a portion of your estate, a fixed dollar amount, or a percentage of your assets, bequests are easy to make.

The following language has been approved by the University of Pennsylvania’s counsel as an effective bequest to WXPN: “I hereby give, devise and bequeath to the Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania, a nonprofit corporation organized and operating under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the sum of ____________ (or ___ % of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate) to be used for WXPN.”
