Amy Ray sees the good, the bad and the ugly on ‘If It All Goes South’

Amy Ray can find hope in almost anything. On her latest solo album, If It All Goes South, the Indigo Girls member finds positivity and love in places some folks might give up on.

In this session, Ray talks about her complicated relationship with church as a queer person and why she’s chosen to stay in the South — specifically Georgia — despite the political climate. She also shares what inspires her to make change as an activist and what inspires her to make music as a songwriter.
