So much about Lucius seems to center around “connection”: First and foremost, the connection between singers and songwriters Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig — the way they sing in unison, their matching costumes and their friendship. But today, you’ll also hear them talk about the importance of their connection with the audience and with other artists — like Brandi Carlile, who co-produced their new album, Second Nature, with Dave Cobb; like Sheryl Crow, who appears on that album; like the many, many artists Holly and Jess have collaborated with as backup vocalists. They seem to somehow know everyone — including Paul McCartney, who they’ll also share a story about in this interview.
