Michigander | Artist To Watch – February 2025

For the month of February, our artist to watch is the Free At Noon favorite Michigander, who wowed us with a stellar set last November teasing material from their new Giving Up LP.

Singer, songwriter, and producer Jason Singer balances the energy of rock, with alternative adventurousness all the while keeping his heart on his sleeve with his lyrics, which first caught our ear with the It Will Never Be The Same EP, which brought him to Free at Noon for the first time in 2023 for a roof-raising performance. Born in Michigan, and now based in Nashville, the he is an incredible storyteller through his lyrics and uplifting instrumentation.

Michigander returns to Philly for a performance at on April 11 at The Fillmore — more information can be found at the WXPN Concert Calendar. Last year, Singer also appeared on the Midday Show with Mike Vasilikos playing acoustic; watch that performance below.
