Sense of Place: How New York City inspired Lisbon band Hause Plants
Lisbon, Portugal, has an active rock music scene. There are clubs with live bands and festivals, but for my guests today, there was another city that loomed large in their imaginations when it came to making music: New York.

So when it was time to record a new EP, the members of Hause Plants made the journey across the Atlantic and, coming up, you’ll hear about their experience recording Field Trip to Coney Island in Brooklyn, where so many bands they love came from.
They’ll also talk about how it compares to Lisbon, and they’ll perform some songs live in this session recorded in Lisbon at Casa Independente for our Sense of Place: Lisbon series.
