Bully, the performing name of Alicia Bognanno, released her album Lucky for You earlier this year, and it’s a record that explores the emotions around the passing of Mezzi, her dog and longtime companion, whom Alicia says was one of the most important relationships in her life.
But — and this might sound surprising — it’s an album that’s also a lot of fun. In this session, Bognanno talks about Mezzi, about music getting you through grief, and about how she made that music: the guitars, the gear and more.
