Pierre Kwenders joins host Raina Douris
When Polaris Prize winning musician and DJ Pierre Kwenders first moved to Montreal from the Democratic Republic of the Congo as a teenager in the early 2000s, there wasn’t much of a scene for the African music he grew up listening to. For our Sense of Place Montreal series, Pierre talks about creating a space for that music with his Moonshine collective, and about his experience as an immigrant and musician in the city.
